Mikey Garcia vs Jessie Vargas Live Stream, plus Joseph Parker’s return: What time and how to watch in Australia

By Jeff Aronow: Jessie Vargas is coming into this fight this Saturday because the underdog against Mikey Garcia, but he’s really to tug off the upset to open the doors for an enormous world title shot in 2020. the 2 former world champions are fighting survive DAZN this Saturday, leap day at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

What’s at stake for the Garcia-Vargas fight potentially may be a world title shot for the winner against WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Matchroom Boxing USA promoter Eddie Hearn wants to set-up a fight in July in Saudi involving Pacquiao and Mikey if he wins on Saturday.

How Garcia vs. Vargas match-up
Power – slight edge to Garcia
Speed – Garcia
Experience – Garcia
Size – Vargas
Ring IQ – Garcia
Jab – Vargas

Vargas (29-2-2, 11 KOs) must fight better than he did in his last fight against 48-year-old Humberto Soto on April 26 last year. The 5’11” had a four-inch height advantage over the 5’7 1/2″ Soto, but he wasn’t ready to stop him until the 6th. Soto seemed like the smarter, and better-skilled fighter than Vargas by an extended shot. What ultimately saved Vargas was his size and youth advantage.

Vargas are going to be enjoying a good bigger size advantage over the 5’6″ Mikey on Saturday than he did against Soto, but which may not be enough. Mikey features a lot of power and boxing skills going for him. Moreover, he’s not old like Soto, and he’s been understanding tons.

What could hurt Mikey though is that the 11 months that he’s been out of the ring since his loss to Errol Spence Jr. last March. Mikey has been expecting an enormous fight, and if just sit and wait as he’s, tons of your time goes by. That’s one among the issues the large name fighters have. Once they begin getting big paydays, that’s all they need. in order that they find yourself expecting prolonged periods of your time before they fight, and their careers suffer.

“I became World champion in 2016 and god willing, i will be able to become champion again in 2020,” said Vargas.

Hearn didn’t mention whether Vargas would have the prospect to fight Pacquiao if he’s victorious on Saturday. What Vargas has going against him getting the Pacquiao fight in July is that the loss that he suffered against the Filipino star in 2016.

A lot of the fans still remember Pacquiao’s victory over Vargas, and that they won’t want to ascertain those two face one another again. additionally, Vargas hasn’t done enough to return back from that defeat within the last 4 years for him to be an appealing option for Pacquiao to fight within the summer.

It’s Vargas and Garcia’s bad luck that their fight is approaching the heels of Tyson Fury’s big convert WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder last Saturday. Most of the eye of the boxing world has been thereon fight.

“It has all the ingredients to be sort of a Barerra-Morales style trilogy,” said Vargas of his fight with Garcia. “You never know because we are two fighters that are willing to try to to anything to return out with the victory.

Mikey should be ready to out-box Vargas, as long as he doesn’t get caught into a war. If Vargas is in a position to draw Mikey into a protracted battle, his big size advantage could play an element in wearing him down. Mikey’s fight against Spence last year showed that he’s too small for the 147-lb division. Spence seemed like he wasn’t trying as hard as he could need to take Mikey out and yet still him on the brink of being stopped at one point. Vargas will certainly be trying hard to knockout Mikey, and he’s getting to test him success.

The Invisible Man (2020) Movie Review

Directed by Leigh Whannell.
Starring Elisabeth Moss, Storm Reid, Aldis Hodge, Michael Dorman, Harriet Dyer, Benedict Hardie, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

When Cecilia’s abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her his fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turn lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

Making a story over a century old into one among the foremost impressive and relevant films of this or the other year may be a remarkable achievement for Saw director Leigh Whannell.

Removing the yellowing bandages from the festering wounds of Hollow Man, or maybe the abandoned Dark Universe line-up that would have featured ol translucent Man himself, he has dragged a potentially hokey concept into the #metoo generation, and made a thriller that’ll stir the gray matter the maximum amount because it prompts primal gasp-out-loud moments of horror.

Escaping from her own domestic Alcatraz during a nerve-shredding opening sequence, our journey is to be crazy Elizabeth Moss’s Cecelia, and it’s one that’ll put both her and therefore the audience through a physical and emotional endurance test for the duration of this traumatic psychological horror.

She’s fleeing from her controlling boyfriend (The Haunting of Hill House‘s Oliver Jackson-Cohen), who we’re introduced to together with his arm gently cradling her, sort of a hair-trigger bear trap, primed to travel off should he sense her moving. It generates a sense of unease and burgeoning dread upon which the film is masterfully built.

Having employed diversionary tactics so as to tug off the sleight-of-hand reveal of Saw‘s twist, Whannell invokes the likes of Hitchcock or Kubrick, with long glacial camera movements, making use of the frame’s entirety to permit the audience to seem for something that may-or-may-not be there. It’s playful, but it’s utterly terrifying at an equivalent time, especially when it’s punctuated with one among the various subtle shocks: a breath of cold air, or a palm against the shower door. However, the masterstroke is how unsettling it’s when nothing happens in the least.

While The Invisible Man might appear to be a movie about someone trying to fade, it’s driving narrative is one among a lady who wants to be seen, and Elisabeth Moss delivers a performance that demands that: she is phenomenal. Part Sarah Connor, a shocking psyche-ward showdown triggers Judgment Day parallels, and part 1978 Laurie Strode. Her gaslit descent into a sanity-testing hell is remarkable. you would possibly come for the scares of the floating knives or footsteps on the ground, but you stay for Cecilia’s edge-of-your-seat fight for survival.

When the 2 combine it’s a triumph in minimalist special-effects work and horror. There’s an assault scene which is executed in stunning fashion, as Moss contorts round the kitchen floor as her invisible assailant pins her down, and one sequence that’s so shocking, the strain it induces shakes you from the movie for a few of minutes. Memoirs of an Invisible Man this ain’t.

If there was any complaint to be levelled towards the film, it’s a tad transparent, with a couple of of the ultimate reel beats, while undeniably effective, quite predictable because the plot plants its A slots into B seeds throughout.

Timely and unbearably tense, this may put you thru the emotional wringer within the smartest, most enjoyable way possible, and largely thanks to a next-level performance from Moss, The Invisible Man has got to be seen.

Kevin Malcuit remains a long-term injury concern with cruciate ligament damage but Fernando Llorente is predicted to get over flu for the sport.

Barcelona Ter Stegen: Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Semedo; Arthur, Busquets, De Jong: Messi, Griezmann, Fati
Head-to-Head Record
Surprisingly, this may be the primary competitive encounter between Napoli and Barcelona.

Napoli were eliminated by Real Madrid on their previous ventures into the Champions League knockout stage.

Barcelona’s recent away trips to Italy haven’t been very fruitful – they haven’t won a match within the Champions League knockout stages there in their past five matches. Their most up-to-date win was against Milan in 2006 – a game during which Gattuso was playing.

Napoli are in excellent form – winning six of their previous seven matches. This run has included wins against Juventus and Inter.

Gattuso’s side have showcased a more efficient method of football and while it is not the foremost attractive football, it’s been effective.

For Barça, Messi ended his relative goal drought by scoring four goals in their 5-0 win against Eibar.

Prior to that, Barcelona hadn’t been firing on all cylinders. While they need been managing results, it hasn’t been within the most convincing of manners.

A loss to Athletic Club within the Copa del Rey may be a signifier of the shortage of progression that has occurred under the new management.

With the Champions League returning this Tuesday and El Clasico next weekend, the pressure is on for Setien to deliver results.

Here’s how each side have fared in their last five matches.
Napoli Barcelona
Brescia 1-2 Napoli (21/2) Barcelona 5-0 Eibar (22/2)
Cagliari 0-1 Napoli (16/2) Barcelona 2-1 Getafe (15/2)
Inter 0-1 Napoli (12/2) Real Betis 2-3 Barcelona (9/2)
Napoli 2-3 Lecce (9/2) Athletic Club 1-0 Barcelona (6/2)
Sampdoria 2-4 Napoli (3/2) Barcelona 2-1 Levante (2/2)
Even with the upturn in form that the Neapolitans are showcasing under Gennaro Gattuso, Barcelona pose a way greater challenge.

However, this Barcelona side isn’t anywhere near the standard of previous sides and have an enormous reliance on the continual brilliance of Messi.

In what should be a terrific atmosphere, expect a really competitive game and chances to be flowing for either side.

Two Champions League rookie managers face-off as Napoli takes on Barcelona on Tuesday evening at the Stadio San Paolo.

It seems a lifetime ago that Carlo Ancelotti guided Napoli out of the group stages and promptly left his job in early December. Since then, Gennaro Gattuso was hired to steer the club forward in what is going to be his first taste of Champions League football as a manager.

For a team of such heritage in Italy, Napoli has never reached further than the round of sixteen in each of their nine appearances within the competition. within the group stages, Napoli defeated reigning European Champions Liverpool reception and followed it up with three draws and two wins to end in second place in Group E.

Napoli features a poor overall record against Spanish sides in two-legged games, losing their last four games against La Liga based opposition. Their last defeat to Spanish opposition came from eventual winners Real Madrid within the 2016-17 season, eventually losing 2–6 on aggregate.

In team news, Gattuso should start Dries Mertens in attack. The Belgian international has five goals in six appearances within the Champions League. Lorenzo Insigne should also get the nod alongside Mertens, whilst Kalidou Koulibaly will anchor the defence. The Senegalese international may be a yellow card faraway from a suspension within the tournament.

Just like Napoli, Barcelona is heading into the round of sixteen with a replacement manager who has no Champions League experience. Faltering domestic form saw Barca dispense with Ernesto Valverde and hand the work to Quique Setién at the beginning of the year.

The former Real Betis coach has had a gentle if not spectacular start as Barcelona boss and his side is currently battling it out at the highest of the table with Real Madrid.

The Champions League will always be truth test of the Spanish giant’s season and with Leo Messi reaching the twilight years of his career the pressure is on the Blagaura management to make another side capable of challenging for Europe’s top club prize.

You have to travel all the way back to the 2004-05 season for the last time Barcelona didn’t progress past the round of sixteen, four Champions League titles have followed within the years since.

In the group stages, Barcelona topped Group F before Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan. Barca was undefeated within the group stages registering four wins and two draws within the group stages.

Teenager Ansu Fati became the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history together with his winner against Inter Milan in matchday six. The victory away in Italy also saw Barcelona register their 150th victory within the competition.

In team news, Fati might be in line to start out at the Stadio San Paolo. The teenager has impressed in recent weeks alongside Messi and Griezmann and has seemingly taken his opportunity with both Dembele and Suarez ruled out for the remainder of the season through injury. In suspension news, Sergio Busquets and Nelson Semedo could miss the second leg if they devour a booking.

Barcelona Predicted Team
Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Firpo; De Jong, Busquets, Vidal; Fati, Griezmann, Messi
